Another one I read in 2005. I made some notes in my journal back then: >>This is the story of a Jewish family that emigrated to Uruguay. The protagonist, from his childhood perspective and as adult, tells the story of his family, from a father who fought in World War I to those caught in the German concentration camps to his own experience as a prisoner of the Uruguayan juntas. Written in the form of letters that were never sent, he asks questions of his father and keeps memories alive. A short reading but a very moving book."
