My Name's Not Susie

My Name's Not Susie - Sharon Jean Hamilton In my journal, I wrote back then that it was a truly moving book. Many passages and ideas from it stuck with me. She raises a lot of questions about the educational system. This was a book that outraged me at times and amazed me at others. Sharon Hamilton shows us how literacy and writing can be a saving force. Her book is a testimony to the power of literacy and for the need to always, always keep reading and writing for it is in reading and writing that we find ourselves, and it is in reading and writing that we come to terms with the elements outside ourselves, where we come full circle.
